Litoral Secreto
Litoral Secreto (RNAAT # 201/2026) is a small socially and environmentally responsible company dedicated to providing kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals that allow you to explore the beauty of the Gilão and Séqua rivers and the Ria Formosa in Tavira. With a small fleet of two double kayaks, three single kayaks, and two SUPs, we ensure a personalized and intimate experience for every adventurer.
Giving opportunities for every child and reducing inequalities is at the heart of our company. In partnership with local associations, we regularly organize a free children's day for disadvantaged children, initiating them to paddling activities and providing them with the opportunity to discover the beauty of their city.
A local story on the water
This grew from years on this stretch of the Gilão: wanting to share it properly, not hurry people through it. Staying small is deliberate—fewer boats, clearer attention, and less of a production line. That is how we stay honest about what we can do well.

The launch area is part of a protected stretch, so we've kept it deliberately simple. There's no built structure or pier. To enter the water, we use the natural bank of the river, which widens and shortens according to the tides. The lower the tide, the muddier the access. We are here to help you safely board and unboard.
People who know the tide
We are on hand for briefings, timing, and reading the day’s conditions—tide, wind, and the small signals this river gives. The aim is steadiness, not theatre: you should know what you are doing before you push off, and feel you are in competent local hands.
